Wow, I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted an update. Our little Grublet is almost 3 years old now. He is walking, talking, running and exploring his world. He is talking in short complete sentences. He love trucks, cars (anything with wheels) and being with his daddy and imitating him. He is such a joy and a blessing to us (all our children are) that we can't imagine life without him.

I am now walking around and getting into EVERYTHING! I help empty trash cans (onto the floor), my sister with her school work (scribble on her math), watch movies (stick DVD's in the VCR) and other things. I have a bit of a cold now, but other than that I am growing and healthy.

Wow I can't believe that it's been for months since dm posted about me. Anyway I celebrated my 1st birthday one week ago. Just a small family affair with cake and ice cream....my mom forgot to take pics. I am not walking yet although I did take my first step last week, but I sure do get around and get my knees dirty. I am saying more words like "no" and finally gave in and said "mama". Here are some short movies about me (my mom thinks they are funny)

Well, it has been a long time since mommy has let me get on the computers to post. I guess she is upset because I am still not staying mamama, just dadada. I am sitting up now....not perfectly, I still fall over sometimes. Mommy needs to get me an exersaucer or jolly jumper or somethings because I lean forward in my carseat now and fall out when I am reaching for a toy. I am not crawling yet, but every once in a while try to get a feel of what it's like on my hands and knees. Here are some new pictures. Don't forget to comment about how adorable I am!

First Tooth

After months of drooling and a couple of days being fussy, not sleeping well, swollen gums....my first tooth has finally broken through.

My siblings have for some time been trying to interpret my bablings. Sometimes it sounded like mummmmum, sometimes it sounds like Emmmmma.....sometimes like abbbag.

Of course momma has been working with me over the past few months to learn to say her name..momma.....she would say it when she looked at me....she would have me watch her mouth when pronouncing the words.....she would say them on my cheek so I could feel the movements (usually I would just turn and try to suck on her cheek......I love to suck on anything I can get my mouth on)....so yesterday it was official.....I kept repeating one word over and over and all my siblings said I said it, Mommy said I said it and Daddy heard it......so my first word is:

Dadddaddaddaddadddaddda!

Sitting up and rolling over

Well I finally rolled over for the first time this past week....I am not a pro yet, but hope to improve over the next weeks. Oh mommy weighed me on her scale (which she doesnt think 100% accurate) and I am almost 19lbs. Oh and when I am in my carseat I can sit up a bit a lean forward.

Sleeping Through the Night

Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da life goes on....la la la life goes on...nothing really new to report except that I slept through the night last night....and I still have a cough and a little bit of gunky eyes left from the cold that everybody gets. Guess mom needs to up the onions and garlic and cut back on the brownies (oops) .... here are some new pics of me.

Well its almost 3 o clock in the morning and I am not letting my mommy get much rest. Must be the ice cream she ate before going to bed. Anyway here is what is going on with me. Last Thursday I celebrated my first Thanksgiving with my daddy side of the family and except for Grammie and Uncle Rob this is the first they have seen cute adorable little me. Can you believe they did not get any pictures of me. I am horrified. Of course I charmed my way into their hearts with my smiles, even Aunt Gretchen who is not a "child lover".

I have had a cold the past week along with the rest of my family and my brother Benjamin has had an upset stomach twice 3 days apart. Mommy hopes it passes soon and if the rest of the family is going to get it, it should be now before the Christmas activities start kicking in.

Another Road Trip

We went on another road trip this weekend to North Carolina to see another of my cousins married. I didnt mind the car ride so much this time....maybe its because we took our own van. I was again swarmed by admires, but I noticed my competition, Karalyce, who is 6 months old was there. I did not like it when my mommy held her. My mom thinks we look a lot alike (but not identical) but I think I am much cuter. Here are some pics from the trip! Boy am I cute.

Well, my 4yo brother cant say "Nathanael" so he calls me "Mafanuel" and my dad has shortened it into Muffy....go figure, whats a guy to do, thankfully I have a great sense of humor....as well as good looks!

Teething & Sucking Fingers & car seat covers

Looks like mommy updates my blog on Wednesdays.

Mommy thinks I am teething, my cheeks are pink, I am slobbering all over the place and I am sucking on my fingers. Mommy hopes that the finger sucking in a temporary teething thing and not a habit....she keeps pulling them out, but I keep sticking them back in.
I saw mommy freak out the other day at first I thought it was funny, but then she became scary. Mommy and I were getting ready to go out shopping when she started to put me in my car seat....it felt damp so she smelled it......kitty pea......she started yelling at something (not me, I smiled to make her feel better, but she wouldnt look at me, just muttered something about those darn kittens and them going back to the alley where they came from, blah blah blah....so I started to cry) and then got up and walked away leaving me on a blanket on the floor.....I guess she didnt find the kitties because she started to tear apart my car seat, remove the cover, cleaned it and put some blankets over it and then put me in and buckled and off we went. Anyway that is why there is not a cover on my seat in the pictures....and last night two of the kittens went bye-bye to live in someone's barn.

Last week it was the feet, this week it is the hands. These are really neat things I have. I can grab my sisters' hair and make them cry. I can grab at the keyboard while mommy is trying to type and I like to feel the peach fuzz on my bald head.

I am now almost 15 pounds and measured out at 25 1/2 inches.

Field Trip

We went one something called a field trip today to Pottsgrove Manor. They had a Revolutionary War encampment display there.

They tried to get me to sign up for the army, but didnt fall for their tactics of free food and and other stuff.....I already got myself a more comfortable position than what they were offering.

The fire there was smoky, I didnt like it and they were making something with cabbage....blech.

They had this dart game, where you got to throw darts at a picture of King George III (whoever he was). It was their (Pottsgrove Manor's) alternative to an effigy. My mom should be in the army, she got King George right on the forehead with the first try (of course it was the bulleye, but if it had been real she might have killed him). Good thing she didnt go lower, she might have hit my daddy.

My mommy evidently like this outfit on me. I was all happy and smiles in it (it is comfortable) until she tried to take my pictures, then I wouldnt cooperate.....nummies first, I cried! I got the nummies but then mommy forgot to get a better picture done. If I wasnt crying you would be able to see how it matches my beautiful blue eyes.

Another road trip....what is up with mom and dad and cars. Thankfully this one was only a couple of hours and I decided to just sleep through most of it. It was cool, Grammie was there and I impressed her with my cute toothless smiles. Overall I had fun, although I did not like being on the beach, too much bright sunshine, wind and NOISE. I survived it by eating or sleeping, but then daddy got the bright idea of dipping my little baby foot into freezing ocean water. Evidently this is some kind of tradition in my family. I cried but they weren't able to get any information out of me using this torture device. Thankfully they only do this once. I dont see why my siblings enjoy the beach so much....I would rather eat and sleep and be held.

Feet

I am 2 months old today and as I was sitting up in bed and I saw these strange things at the end of my body. Each of them had five appendages. My mommy told me they were feet and the 5 appendages were called toes. She then went on to teach me a little poem about piggys who went to market, stayed home, had roast beef etc. (what does that have to do with feet????). Anyway they are very interesting. I was fascinated, I noticed if I moved my chubby little legs that these feet moved with them.

Slept Through the Night

Last night I slept 8 hours. Mommy had to wake me up to eat because she was so full. .My first time doing a whole nights sleep. Before this I had only been sleeping up to 6 hours during the night, and waking for a feeding. We will see if it becomes a habit.

Road Trip!

So I am a homebody. Mom stays home with my siblings most of the time, I am doted on and held by everyone in my house and I'm cool with that. Well mom and dad got it into their heads to go on a road trip to Kentucky to see my cousin Nathan (I was told he was my oldest cousin, but evidently he is not my tallest cousin) get married to some girl named Sarah. I didnt like riding in the car but I loved meeting all my aunts and uncles and cousins (I have 25 cousins and they were all there except two) on my mother's side. Lots of attention, I was loving it (most of the time). I did have a little competition with some cute little 5 month old girl cousin once removed, but I was able to hold my own. On the return trip, I finally adjusted to my car seat a little bit more; however, I was glad to be home.
